Saw Return of the King Today. I very much enjoyed it. It could have used a little editing to weed out some scenes that needed to be tightened up and the pacing at times was slow. But wow. What a masterpiece of movie making.

LOTR will go down as the greatest movie trilogy of all time. It is simply astoundingly good. The crap that was Matrix Reloaded helps remind us how even the best of concepts can go terribly bad and so the excellence of Return of the King shouldn't be taken for granted.

The acting, the scenery, the story were out stupendous. If you haven't seen the other two, get the DVDs and watch them. You're really missing out on one of those generational events. Sort of like those people who missed Gone with the Wind when it was out or Sparticus or Star Wars, the Lord of the Rings is really some of the best movie making in history.

uh no, The Matrix Trilogy was exactly how it was suppose to be, it was a great movie. People just couldn't appreciate it because they were expecting something not so deep in philosophy/religion.. I do also agree that ROTK was a beautiful movie, but comparing a scifi movie to a fantasy movie can't really be done, since they are different movies.
