McCain even stated before that he knows little about about economics. So your best to take a look at his economic team.....and which lobbying firms they all work for. As far as taxes go the fact that 2/3 of US corporations pay no profits tax should make people realize that the business rate is not the problem...the problem is that the tax code is not broad based enough. As far as personal income tax if you believe McCain will not end up raising taxes you are mistaken. Read his lips as closely as you read Bush Sr.'s lips years ago.

So when a candidate picks a vp  that gets more earmarked dollars per capita for her state than any other and who fires those in government who have an opposing view, one has to wonder how much of what he says that he really means. He says lobbyists and earmarks are the biggest problems in Washington yet his team of advisors is mostly lobbyists and his vp pick is really an earmark queen not a reformer.

I used to like McCain but now i wonder if hes a bigger liar than Carl Rove. His judgement has been terrible in regards to his campaign and that really has to make people wonder how far along his altzeimers is.

If someone votes for McCain to serve as check and balance on the Dems thats one thing, but if you believe he will be in a position to deliver on anything he promises you are mistaken.

I know Dr. Guy pointed out the irony of this complaint, but there's more to it than irony, it's also a non-sequitor & just stupid.  No one I know of has called questions about the beliefs, positions and experience of Palin 'sexist' - 'qualifications' are fair & appropriate game, but qualifications are not limited solely to experience, and they are for us voters to examine & decide.  That's what elections are for.  It distresses the left to no end that little things like elections sometimes get in the way of what they know is best for us.

Here's what is sexist - comments that she's a bad mother for (insert reason here), accusations that she can't really have 'family values' & be VP at the same time, charges that Trig is really her daughter's baby, charges that she's not really a woman (metaphorically speaking, but that has actually been in print, I kid you not), calling her a 'mere beauty queen'... I hope you get the idea (I'm not holding my breath).

Questions about the background, activities and associations, both political & personal, of both candidates are perfectly appropriate.  If the left wants to publish sermons by her minister, bring them on; if there are skeletons in her political closet, disclose them; if the left disagrees with the policies she pursued as Mayor & Governor, let them say so.  You can also question how a candidate is 'packaged' or promoted, that's fair for both sides, but I have a suspicion the American people will apply their innate 'truth in advertising' meter effectively.  The adults of America can handle it and make a choice in November.

The only Change Hussein will give America is the Change left over from your paycheck after he raises taxes through the roof, more and more he is starting to remind me of Prince John, a man who delighted in taxing the people to the point of starvation, unfortunately we have no Robin Hood to save us.

You know Robin Hood robbed from the rich and gave to the poor, right?  Conservatives and McCain supporters around here generally don't like giving to the poor much from what I've read, so are you sure Robin Hood would be a savior?

McCain's tax returns show he has given far more in charitable donations than Obama.

And what do you base your statement that conservatives around here don't like giving to the poor? My family gives thousands a year to charitable organizations. We just don't agree with the government taking our money by force to give to the poor with politicians claiming the high ground on compassion because they support taking our earnings.

I'm unemployed and am drawing checks.  The unemployment website has a statement up about how Bush (a conservative) extended the legal amount of time people can draw unemployment.  I hate needing this help, but for the moment I do.  Thank God a conservative was looking out for me during this dark period in my life.  As much as Bush and many of the Republican leadership have disappointed me, they did not abandon me during my hour of need.  To say conservatives don't want to do anything to help the poor is an outright lie, and I'm living proof.

Those people should be left in the dust, leaches are no good and should get no help and Obama has said as much, but lets not forget as well that rich people can think they are "OWED" and be leaches as well.  No bid contracts ring a bell.
